Well it sucks I can't import previous games I did (for my own personal use) it only supports gmx files (project file) but I can't import gmk files or previous releases. Do they plan to add that? Importing gm6 gmk to gmx thing? Executables (even compiled by Game Maker) are not possible to edit in Game Maker. To edit it you would have to decompile or disassemble it, or use a hex editor. Game Maker can only edit files such as.gmk,.gm81 and older versions of the Game Maker files. Why do my Microsoft Office 2010 files not open with Microsoft Office 2013?

Aug 04, 2013 One of first questions ever when starting with GameMaker: Studio is how does one open pre-Studio GameMaker projects (such as GameMaker 8.1, GameMaker 8.0, 7, 6.x, 5.x.). If you got here from search, you probably already tried opening these by dragging them over the program window or attempting to pick these from 'Open' menu which. Save your game and make 2.exe files of it: game.exe and otherexe.exe 10. Openup game.exe and click on the button! It opens otherexe.exe! If u wanna rename otherexe.exe follow these steps.
And no, I don't have a list a gmk's that need converting, this isn't a self pity - guilt trip post
just a suggestion for the game maker team.
This is the big one - Sonic.EXE Version 666 is the biggest update to the game since its release! Re-written from scratch on an entirely new engine with better graphics, audio quality, re-imagined sequences, system-wide stability fixes and more - this is the definitive Sonic.EXE experience!
There are many new things to discover in the game. While some may be apparent, others require a little digging. Word to the wise: EXPLORE. Return to previous areas of each stage after you've had a look around - who knows what might have popped up during your absence?

The game took about 3 days to whip up, and is not a full representation of my programming ability - it was simply something I made for a laugh. I never expected it to come this far since the original release. Bear that in mind. As I've now moved onto using alternative technologies, I'll still keep this thread updated with any new itteration of the game that are released - but sadly, I've moved on from GE for the most part. Mainly due to compatibility with what I'm learning in Uni. But GE will always be important to me as my first real forray into the Indie Developer scene.
